Operation Cliffside Cottage Cleanup! That’s what I was thinking when I inherited an eight-cottage beach property from my Aunt Ellen. As a failing real estate agent, with barely ten dollars to my name, I couldn’t have been more over my head.

My best friends agreed to help me manage the place, and we even decided to host weddings once a week to pay for some of the repairs – Walk-Up Wednesdays. But when the money wasn’t even going to come close, I grabbed the offer from Victor Cage to help me fix up the cottages.

I didn’t want his help, even though he was gorgeous and confident, he was trying to buy the property by sending a pack of lawyers after Aunt Ellen before she died.

I wanted no part of dealing with him. Ok, maybe, we got off on the wrong foot when I accidentally smashed him with a surfboard.

Fun fact, he wasn’t looking.

But I had no choice.

If you’re thinking this is the part where Victor sweeps me off my feet and handles all the renovations and we become the go-to property in Cliffside…you’d be wrong… really wrong.

In fact, the workers uncover a skeleton during the renovations, someone is trying to sabotage the repairs and Claire tries to speak with a ghost and ends up in the hospital (she took an online class and thinks she’s a medium).

And to make things worse? My ex happens to show up at the worst time.

I don’t know why I thought I could turn the place around and make Aunt Ellen proud.
